Jessica Sanchez on Glee

How do I even begin?

I’m sort of trembling from excitement. JK. Hahaha!

So, yesterday Jessica Sanchez was featured on Glee’s finale episode, “All or Nothing” as the lead singer of New Directions’ rival, Who’s Your Daddies.

Of all the names in the world, she was given the character named Frida Romero. I mean, when I saw their group perform I thought that the name is better suited to the girl will super curly hair.

When she sang though, EARGASM!

I don’t even need the dance moves and the theatrics, just her voice alone should have made them won, but it’s not her show, so it’s expected that they didn’t win. LOL. It’s really great considering it’s her first time to act, and in a hit musical show, no less. oh, by the way, their group performed Wings and Clarity during the competition.

I hope that they would give this girl more projects because she is really talented. Hes vocal prowess can figuratively move mountains, and literally move thousands of people who listen to her songs.

She just recently released her first album with the title, “Me You & the Music” and the songs there are superb. I recommend that you listen to Tonight and Crazy Glue. Those are two of my favorite songs. I admire this little darling so much and I love her voice to the moon and back.

Be sure to check out what’s in store for this young vocal sensation because I am sure that she will be a legend someday.

Who else watched/listened to this because of Blondie in American Idol?

That girl’s got personality! I hope she makes it through Hollywood week.

I mean, Carrie Underwood is hands down, one of the best Country singers there is, but Blondie laid it all out there. :p

I love how Nicki Minaj gives nicknames to the contestants. It makes them easier to remember. She’s also sweet to them. Right now I can see that she’s stealing the show. :D

Maple Milk Tea

Maybe not a lot of people know this, but I seriously love to cook and make some kitchen inventions. I love experimenting with whatever we have and I’m glad that so far they are all edible. :)

I also love milk tea. As in, I’m obsessed with them! I have tried a lot of variants from different brands, but I have never encountered a maple-flavored milk tea, so I thought I should try making one sometime since there’s an excess maple syrup for the pancakes.

So, I just made some maple milk tea earlier and it’s so yummy!!!

If any one of you wants to try it, here’s how:

Boil 2 bags of clear green tea (or any tea variant you happen to like)
Once boiling, add maple syrup (depending on your desired level of sweetness) and mix
Transfer to a glass or container with ice
Serve cold and enjoy

I swear it somehow tastes like Earl Grey milk tea… Even better! (Okay, that one was biased :p)

If one day I learn that one of the tea shops is already serving this kind of milk tea then I will be like, “OMG, I already made this kind of tea before!” hahaha!

Since The Hunger Games already hit the cinemas, I think it’s high time to blog about its OST.

Sung by Taylor Swift, no less, Safe and Sound captures the very essence of the story.

As I read the book, i imagine myself in the arena and try to see the situation in the eyes of Katniss. No matter how inevitable, killing each other still doesn’t feel right, even if it is the only way to stay alive. This song reminds me of the scene where Katniss sings to Rue while she’s dying. It’s totally heart-breaking. A promise of a better tomorrow when you know the one you hold dear only has minutes, no, seconds to live and you know that when she close her eyes you will lose her forever, that she’s be in a different place where she’s good and safe.

It’s hard to leave your loved ones behind, but it’s harder to see them leave you. All the hardships in the Games… friendship seems out of place. And yet I know that the days of Katniss and Rue’s friendship is true.

I also think of Prim, so small and young, left to face a world without her sister. But there is hope because Katniss promised her that she would really try hard to win. Everything Katniss did was for Prim, anyway. She did everything just to keep her sister safe and not hurting.

Taylor Swift did a perfect rendition of this soulful song. I must admit the song is not uplifting, but it is real heartfelt. It is the kind of song that makes my breathing hard and locks my throat, holding back my tears.

A perfect song for a perfect story of a perfect movie, in my point of view, at least. What more can I ask for?
